HB 2243    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR VETERANS
        CEMETERIES                                    PSM, FIN
        Appropriates funds for maintenance at veterans
        cemeteries in the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui.

HB 2255    RELATING TO VETERANS RIGHTS AND BENEFITS      PSM, FIN
        Requires comptroller, on request of a deceased
        Filipino veteran's survivor or interested party, to
        make payment directly to a mortuary or crematory for
        funeral/burial services and to transport the veteran's
        remains to the Philippines, upon submission of an
        unpaid invoice to the OVS; appropriates moneys.

HB 2354    MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY
        OF THE KOREAN WAR COMMISSION                  PSM, FIN
        Appropriates funds for the 50th Anniversary
        Commemoration of the Korean War Commission.

HB 2355    RELATING TO VETERANS                          PSM, FIN
        Expand duties of the director of the office of
        veterans' services to include maintenance of state
        veterans cemeteries on all islands; repeals county
        responsibility.

HB 2457    RELATING TO VETERANS LOANS                    PSM, FIN
        Repeals provisions relating to the Veterans Loan
        Program.

HB 2103    RELATING TO STATE VETERANS CEMETERY           PSM, FIN
        Provides Filipino-American veterans and their
        dependents for the interment at the state veterans
        cemetery on Oahu.

FOR DECISION-MAKING ONLY, DEFERRED PSM MEASURES FROM 02/07/00:
HB 2741    RELATING TO PRIVATELY-OPERATED CORRECTIONAL
        FACILITIES                                PSM, LAB/FIN
        Allows the governor to contract for private sector
        operation of correctional facilities.  Establishes
        criteria necessary for an acceptable contract for
        privatized operation of a correctional facility.

HB 2982    RELATING TO LABOR                         PSM, LAB/FIN
        Excludes overtime, supplementary pay, and
        differentials from correction officer's computation
        for the contribution to the annuity savings fund.
        Gives mayors the authority to decide what amounts of
        wages, overtime, supplementary pay, and differentials
        employees under section 88-45 are included in the
        computations  to determine police officer
        contributions to the annuity savings fund.
